Okay, NOW are people worried?!?!?!

NSA collecting phone call data on Americans. . . with the full complicity of the telecom corps. These are DOMESTIC calls, and not of people suspected of terrorist or other criminal activity. This has been going on for the past several years under Air Force Gen. Michael Hayden, who is now up for director of the CIA. And the NSA could be sharing this info with other agencies, without informing people that their records are being shared.

PLEASE, someone tell me that his worries them!!!

Quite.
Thing that gets to me is all the people who go about with their thoughts that our gov't is so spotless and upstanding and would never hide things from the citizens, would never take part in underhanded clandestine activities. Uh, yeah...right. "You just keep telling yourself that, k?" I mean, c'mon people. Get a clue.

what does it say about me that i can't get excited about this because i think this has already been going on for decades and we're just finding out about it, and it wouldn't matter if they got caught and told to stop, that they'd just go on doing what they've been doing?

I'm past worrying; I'm wondering what to do about AmeriFascists, and how. I'll add you to my F-list and post about it to my own journal as soon as I'm coherent enough to do so.

best,

Joel
